Overheard a VP say 'AI won't replace you, but someone who uses AI will' at a conference

I was at a networking event in Austin last month and this VP from a tech firm mentioned that line during a panel. It made me think about how I've been ignoring automation tools in my data entry job. Anyone here actually learned a tool like ChatGPT or Zapier and seen a real career boost?

@olivia670 absolutely nailed it. Same thing happened at my last warehouse gig, a guy learned basic Python for automating inventory reports and jumped two pay grades in less than a year. It's honestly crazy how a little bit of automation know-how can make you look like a superstar to management.

Man, a buddy of mine learned Zapier for his warehouse job and got promoted to IT support in six months. Suddenly he's making double and barely works overtime now.

That's the thing with learning stuff like Zapier or automations, it's one of those skills that actually pays off quick because you can show results right away @lucast81. I've seen the same thing happen, a forklift guy I know started messing with Google Sheets scripts on his breaks, now he's the one building dashboards for the whole shift. It's wild how just one extra skill can completely change your career path in a warehouse.
