Hot take: My framing nailer from 2015 is actually better than the new one I bought last week
The old one drives a 3-inch nail flush in two hits, but the new one needs three and leaves a dimple. Anyone have a brand they swear by that doesn't do this?

My old Paslode still works like a champ.

That's the best feeling when old tools just keep going. My dad's got one that's probably older than I am (no joke) and it still fires every time. They really don't make them like that anymore, you know? It's nice to hear about gear that actually lasts. Hang onto that thing for sure.

This feels like a bigger trend where new stuff is just less solid. You see it with appliances and furniture too, where corners get cut for cost. It makes holding onto the old, reliable gear a smart move.
