The $150 digital angle finder I bought is paying for itself already

Picked up one of those digital angle finders last month after messing up a stair stringer cut for the THIRD time. The old protractor method was costing me material and time. This thing was $150 at the local lumber yard, and I was skeptical at first. But I used it today to match some weird existing trim angles in a 1920s house and got it right on the FIRST try. Customer even commented on how clean the joints looked. Has anyone else made the switch from manual measuring? Or am I just late to the party?

The digital ones are a total game changer, no doubt. I fought it for years, thought my eye was good enough... it wasn't. Once you get one, you wonder how you ever worked without it. That old stringer method sounds like pure misery, I've been there too. For trim work in old houses, nothing beats instant feedback. You're not late, most guys are still stuck in the dark ages on this one.
