Hit 100 apology videos watched and noticed a weird pattern

I started keeping track of celebrity apology videos about two years ago just for fun. Hit the 100 mark last month and it made me stop and think. I remember the old ones from the 2000s where they'd just cry and say sorry on a talk show. Now everyone does a studio video with soft lighting and a ring light in their eyes. The big thing I noticed is how many of them use the exact same words like 'taking accountability' and 'doing the work.' Feels like they got a script from the same PR person. The genuine ones usually have bad lighting and shaky camera work. Has anyone else noticed the language getting super canned over the years?

The one that always sticks out to me is the 2017 Logan Paul suicide forest video apology. That was shot on his iPhone in a hotel room with terrible lighting and you could tell he was actually shaking. Compare that to any apology from the last two years and its the same ring light, same soft focus, same script about 'doing the work.' I remember when Tati Westbrook did her first apology to James Charles and she was literally crying in a parking lot. Now her apologies are these glossy 10 minute productions with a full camera setup. The PR firms have basically turned remorse into a genre of content. If someone is really sorry they should just type it out on their Notes app and post a screenshot. Thats way more real than any studio apology.

Stopped me dead at "crying in a parking lot." That's so raw and real. Nobody picks a parking lot for a backdrop on purpose. Now they've got the ring light, the soft filter, the whole deal. Makes you wonder if they're actually sorry or just checking a box for their manager.

Is it just me or did @quinnm77 nail it with that parking lot detail, because now every apology looks like a Netflix audition.
