Used to think all celebrity apologies were made up, but one actually convinced me

I used to roll my eyes at every celebrity apology, figuring it was just damage control written by their PR team. Then last year, that actor from the Marvel movies posted a 15 minute video where he actually admitted specific mistakes, named specific people he hurt, and showed text receipts. Has anyone else changed their mind about a celeb apology after seeing real proof?

Does it bug you how most people's apologies in real life are just "sorry you feel that way" instead of owning what they actually did? That's what got me too. Saw a friend finally apologize to her sister for years of shitty behavior. She listed exact dates and things she said. No excuses. That's rare. Most people treat apologies like a magic word to make things go away, not an actual admission of fault. The real ones show receipts and don't try to flip it into a pity party. If they're asking for forgiveness instead of demanding it, that's the only kind worth accepting.

Oh, I've been that person listing exact dates too and it was the hardest but most freeing thing I ever did.

Wait hold on, she actually listed exact dates? Like she came with a mental calendar of her being crap? That's wild. I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that in person.
