I was wrong about those new flexible camera rods

Honestly, I thought the whole 'flexible' thing was just a gimmick for tight bends. Tbh, I stuck with my old rigid ones for years, even after a guy in my Milwaukee crew swore by them. What changed my mind was a job on a 1920s house with three 90-degree turns in the flue. My rigid camera got stuck, but his 12-foot flexible one snaked right through and showed a huge crack we would have missed. Anyone else have a tool they doubted that ended up saving a job?

That old house would have been a nightmare without the right gear.

Guess you had to see it work to really believe it, huh? So for a job like that, @matthewmiller, do you think you would have just guessed at the problem or tried to tear into the wall without the camera shot? Makes you wonder how many fixes we got wrong before stuff like this came along.

Man, I bet we messed up a lot of walls back in the day.
