My 3-year-old rotary brush failed on a job in Kansas City last week

I saw everyone on here raving about the SpinSweep 2000 so I picked one up back in 2021. Last Tuesday I was cleaning a flue for a customer near downtown and the motor just died halfway through, left me with a half-done job and a mess. I had to finish with my old hand rods and it took twice as long, but honestly that brush never cleaned as well as people claimed anyway. Has anyone else had their SpinSweep 2000 give out way earlier than expected?

Whoa wait, that SpinSweep 2000 only lasted you three years? I got one around the same time and mine started making a weird grinding noise last month, I just assumed it was a fluke or something. That's nuts.

Your SpinSweep 2000 made it three years too? That grinding noise is exactly what mine started doing before it gave out completely last week. I was pretty bummed because I actually liked that thing for the first couple years, it cleaned really well. Just sucks that something that expensive craps out so fast, feels like they cheaped out on something inside.
