Talked to my grandpa about how he used to commute in the 1950s
He said he rode his bike 6 miles to work every day, rain or shine, for 30 years. Made me think about how we all jump in our cars to drive 2 blocks to the store now. He wasn't trying to make a point about climate change, he just said it was normal then. Kinda hits different when you realize how much our habits have shifted in one lifetime. Any of you have older relatives who lived a lower impact life without even trying?

Honestly, are these really bigger needs or just different excuses?

Yeah but that 6 miles on a bike probably took an hour each way and he didn't have to drag kids to soccer practice or stop at the grocery store on the way home... different era with different needs isn't always better.

Man, that's a good point Paul but doesn't it kinda make you wonder what we actually NEED to do in a day versus what we just pile on ourselves?
