Switched from notepad to VS Code and it changed everything

For my first 3 months learning Python I was writing everything in notepad. I thought all those fancy editors were just for show. Then a guy on a coding discord told me to try VS Code and showed me how to run code with one click. I felt pretty dumb when I saw how much time I wasted typing python script.py in the terminal every single time. Has anyone else avoided switching tools for way too long?

Used to think editors were overrated too until I saw how fast I could fix mistakes with autocomplete.

Nah, notepad taught you the fundamentals. VS Code just hides the mess.
