Took me 4 hours to fix a stuck dump valve on a job in Corpus Christi last week
Figured out it was just a tiny piece of grit in the seal, but I must have taken that whole assembly apart three times before I saw it. Anyone else waste a full afternoon on something that simple?

Funny how that works, it's like the universe just wants to remind you that 90% of life is hunting down the one dumb little thing that's ruining everything. Same thing happened to me with a stuck drawer in my kitchen last month - I spent two hours prying and swearing before I realized a dried-out piece of rice was jamming the track. @theajohnson probably sees this stuff all the time with air filters, where one tiny piece of junk makes you feel like a fool for not checking there first. It's almost always the simplest thing, and that's what makes it sting the most.

Oh man, that sounds frustrating! My buddy Jake spent almost a whole Saturday trying to figure out why his lawnmower wouldn't start. He cleaned the carburetor twice, changed the spark plug, even checked the fuel lines. Turned out it was just a half-chewed acorn stuck in the air filter, wedged in so deep he missed it the first few times.

Never woulda guessed a tiny acorn could cause all that trouble. Honestly I used to think air filters were kinda pointless until I saw a video of someone pulling a dead mouse out of one. Now I check mine way more often. So yeah that makes total sense now.
