Watched my uncle build a deck with just a hand saw back in '05, now kids walk around with a M18 circular saw
I was helping my cousin put up a fence this weekend and he pulled out this battery powered framing nailer that weighed nothing. Made me think about how I used to swing a hammer for 8 hours straight when I was starting out with my dad in 2007. The cordless stuff has come so far in just 15 years or so, especially the lithium batteries that actually hold a charge. Has anyone else noticed how much faster you can rough in a house now compared to even a decade ago?

Absolutely man, it's wild how fast things go now compared to swinging a hammer all day too.

And it's not just construction either, even ordering food feels like a whole different world now with all those apps. Nobody's got the patience to wait for anything anymore, right?

My uncle still swears by his old skilsaw from the 80s, says batteries just add weight.
