PSA: I stopped doing full foil highlights on every single client

I used to think a full head of foils was the only way to get real brightness, but after a class in Denver last fall, I switched to balayage for about 70% of my clients. The grow-out is way better and it saves me almost an hour per appointment. Anyone else find themselves doing way less traditional foiling now?

Wait, you cut your color cost in half? @charles720 that's insane.

Honestly the biggest shift for me was how much less product I go through. A full foil set just eats bleach, and switching cuts my color cost per client almost in half. That adds up way faster than the time saved.

Tbh I get the product saving point, but for me a full foil still gives the cleanest, brightest result on most hair types. Balayage can look a bit muddy or patchy if someone wants serious lift, you know? I just don't think the time saved is worth it if the color isn't as sharp.
