Remember that stubborn color correction job I took on in Phoenix?
A client came in with box dye that turned her dark brown hair a weird orange. I figured a simple toner would fix it, but the orange wouldn't budge. I ended up having to do a full color remover, then a green-based filler, and finally the actual target shade. What I thought would be a 90-minute appointment turned into a solid 4 hours in the chair. Anyone else have a color correction that just refused to cooperate?

Ever have one of those days where you think you're a hair genius and then reality laughs in your face? I tried to fix my friend's box dye mess once, swore I could tone it out. Ended up making her hair this weird gray-green color for a week, lol. I had to buy her a really nice hat as an apology. Sometimes you just have to admit defeat and call in a real pro.

Tell me about it. I once spent three hours trying to "fix" a brassy blonde only to realize I made it look like a banana peel. Ever try to explain that to a client?

Oh man, box dye orange is the worst. That stuff bonds like concrete sometimes. You did the right thing going nuclear with the remover first.
