That expensive heat protectant spray I scoffed at for 6 months

My coworker at the salon in Denver kept pushing this $28 thermal spray from a brand I'd never heard of and I figured it was just hype. Finally tried it on a client with super fine, bleached hair last Tuesday and the difference in shine and smoothness was obvious right there under the dryer. Anyone else have a product you ignored forever that turned out to actually do what it claimed?

Got a friend in Ohio who bought some expensive dry shampoo against her better judgment and ended up loving it so much she keeps a backup in her car. She said her hair looked fresher on day three than she ever thought possible with fine, oily strands. It took her two years of buying cheap stuff to finally give in and admit the price was worth it.

Oh man, I feel this so hard! I was the same way with a $30 hair oil that everyone in my salon group chat was raving about. I thought there was no way it was better than the $8 drugstore stuff I'd been using for years. Then my stylist used it on my ends after a cut and the difference was unreal - no greasy residue, just soft and shiny without weighing my hair down. I finally bought a bottle and that tiny thing lasted me like 8 months because you only need half a pump. Took me a full year of everyone telling me to just try it before I caved lol.

Ngl my friend Cassie out in Portland went three years refusing to buy that $25 living proof dry shampoo because she didn't believe in spending that much on something that just soaks up oil. She finally grabbed a travel size during a sale at Sephora and texted me that same night saying her hair looked better on day four than it did on day one with her usual $5 batiste. She's been buying the full size ever since and even got her mom hooked on it. @robinp89 your Ohio friend's dry shampoo struggle totally reminds me of Cassie's journey with that stuff, honestly took her ages to cave too.
