Finally picked a POV after weeks of flip-flopping on my fantasy novel

I was stuck between first person for the main character and third person limited for a wider view, went with first person. Three chapters in and the voice feels way more natural, anyone else struggle with this choice for their current project?

Ever tried blending both and switching between characters...

Yeah you said blending them gets messy and honestly that's so true. I tried switching between first and third in one chapter once and my beta readers were like "wait whose head are we in" every other page. First person just hits different though, like you're right there in the MC's skin feeling everything they feel. When I write third person limited I always end up slipping into the MC's thoughts anyway, so why not just commit to first from the start. It's like picking one lane and staying in it makes the whole drive smoother for everyone involved.

Blending them gets messy fast. Sticking with one keeps the reader grounded. First person feels more real, so good call going with that.
