Just found out my city has a special loan program for credit repair housing
I was looking at the housing authority website for Baltimore and saw a line about "credit repair mortgages." I clicked it and found a whole program for people with scores under 580. They offer a 3% down payment and help you fix your credit while you're in the house. I always thought you needed at least a 620 for anything. Has anyone here actually gone through a program like that in their area?

My credit score was so bad I thought they'd charge me just to look at a house listing. These programs are legit though, my cousin got in one and it saved her. It's worth checking out for sure.

Tell me about it, I swear my credit report once tried to charge me a viewing fee just for opening the file. Bailey.jennifer is right though, those programs can be a real game changer if you find a good one. My friend had to jump through some hoops with paperwork but it got her into a place she could actually afford.
