Noticed a big shift in phishing emails over the last 3 months

I used to spot phishing emails pretty easily with bad grammar and weird links. But lately the fake ones I'm getting look exactly like real messages from my bank and even my boss. A coworker almost clicked one last week because it matched the company logo and signature style. What changed are these scammers using AI tools to copy real layouts way too close. Has anyone else seen this jump in quality with the fakes they get?

Yeah it tracks with everything else getting faked better these days. I've noticed phone scammers now use voice samples that sound exactly like people I know. The quality jump is real and it's not just email it's every kind of scam getting an upgrade. Feels like we're in a arms race now where scammers get better tools faster than we learn to spot them.

Wait theyre using actual voice samples now?? Like AI generated voices that sound exactly like specific people you know? Thats terrifying honestly. I knew phishing emails were getting better but if phone scammers can copy someones voice too then we really cant trust anything digital anymore. The fact that your coworker almost got tricked by a perfect company logo and signature shows how hard this is getting. We used to have a fighting chance with bad grammar and weird formatting but now theyve taken that away. Feels like the only safe thing is to call people back on a number you already know is theirs.

I used to roll my eyes at people paranoid about voice cloning, but hearing that coworker story changed my mind completely.
