Had a chat with my buddy in Portland who runs a small shop
He said those 'too good to be true' Prime Day mystery boxes are just resellers dumping returns they can't sell. Made me realize I've been wasting $50+ on garbage deals for years, has anyone actually gotten something decent from one of those?

So it's really that big of a deal over some mystery boxes?

@wendy_lee48 yeah I feel you. Some people just get way too worked up over junk.

@wendy_lee48 I mean honestly I've had pretty good luck with those mystery boxes but maybe I'm just lucky or whatever. I got one last year that had a brand name coffee maker and a fancy kitchen scale I actually use all the time, definitely worth way more than I paid for it. Not everything in them is a winner sure but you're paying for the surprise and the chance to get something nice, nobody's forcing you to buy them. Plus if your buddy in Portland can't move his returns maybe that's his problem not the customer's.
