That $3 thrift store find turned out to be worth $400
I grabbed this old framed print from a Goodwill in Dayton last month for like 3 bucks. The frame was ugly but the art looked kind of interesting, so I figured whatever. I hung it in my hallway for two weeks before my neighbor who does estate sales came over and freaked out. She said it looked like a legit signed print from some regional artist named Clyde something. I looked it up online and found sold listings on eBay for around $400 for similar pieces. I still don't fully believe it because who gets that lucky right? But the signatures match and the paper looks old enough. Has anyone else stumbled into something valuable by accident or am I just reading too much into this?

Heard my buddy found a 50s lamp at a garage sale worth over a grand.

@beth_park hold up wait. "Worth over a grand" makes me wanna scream honestly. Ive been to like 300 garage sales in my life and best thing I ever got was a 20 dollar fishing rod that worked okay. That lamp better be some atomic age museum piece or something because I swear half the stuff at garage sales is just old junk that someone thinks is vintage. I bet your buddy saw it on Antiques Roadshow one time and now hes telling everyone its worth a fortune. Still though if its real that would be wild. I woulda paid 5 bucks for it and called it a night.

Worth over a grand" usually means they saw a wild eBay listing, not what it actually sold for.
