I had a client tell me my deep dives were 'too thorough' and it forced me to rethink my whole approach.

She said she wanted a 5 minute read, not a 50 minute lecture, so I started chopping each breakdown into a TL;DR summary up top with a 'full rabbit hole' link below, and my engagement jumped 30% in 2 weeks. Has anyone else had to cut back their detail level to actually keep readers?

30% bump proves less is more sometimes.

The real question is whether that client actually valued your work or just wanted validation for not reading deeper.

But isn't proving you actually read it part of showing you value the work?
