Just hit 500 hours on a rebuild and it's still running quiet

Finished a full rebuild on a 6.7 Powerstroke for a local contractor about eight months ago. I logged every hour on my phone after the first test drive. Checked it today and the truck just passed 500 hours of run time with zero new issues. No injector knock, no weird smoke, oil pressure is solid. For a motor that was basically scrap when it came in, that's a solid win. What's the most hours you've seen on a rebuild before the first real problem showed up?

Sarahpark saying 500 hours is barely broken in... that's the whole point, isn't it? It's like people can't just accept a clean win anymore, they gotta move the goalposts. You see it everywhere, a thing works exactly like it should and someone's gotta downplay it. A quiet 500 after a rebuild is a straight up victory, no need to add a "but".

Used to agree with sarahpark, but 500 quiet hours proves a rebuild.

500 hours is nothing, that's barely broken in.
