Spent 2 hours trying to fix a brush size issue in Procreate yesterday

I was working on a piece for a client and my brush kept snapping to a tiny size no matter what I did. Thought it was a glitch. Restarted the iPad twice. Checked every setting I knew. Finally realized I had accidentally toggled the apple pencil double tap to switch between brush and eraser. That feature has been there for years but I never use it. So I spent a full 2 hours fighting a problem that was basically a misclick in the settings menu. Has anyone else ever wasted time chasing some tiny setting that was right in front of them?

The double tap feature has caused me similar headaches too but on a different app. I tried using it for a while to switch tools but kept triggering it by accident during strokes. Eventually I just turned it off completely in settings and its been smooth sailing since.

Turning that double tap off was the best decision I ever made for my sanity.

Nah the double tap thing is actually toggle the pencil between current tool and whatever you set it to, not just brush/eraser by default. You gotta go into the Procreate gestures menu and pick what it switches to. I messed that up once too, thought it was broken but really I just had it set to something useless.
