Found a coffee shop hack for steady wifi in Bangkok
I kept losing connection at WeWork style places. Crowded and slow. Then I found a tiny cafe near Sukhumvit Soi 11. They run a fiber line just for remote workers. Costs me $3 for a full day. Manager said they get 300 Mbps consistently. Anyone else got a hidden gem like this in Chiang Mai or elsewhere?

Ugh I feel that so hard lol. I tried one of those WeWork style places in Phuket last month and the wifi was crawling by 2pm. It's just the worst when you're in the middle of something important and the connection dies. That Soi 11 spot sounds like a dream though, seriously. I've had luck with a little bakery in Pattaya that does the same thing but it's only like 50 Mbps. Still way better than the crowded coworking spots though. I swear those places just oversell their promise of good wifi and hope nobody notices. If I ever make it to Chiang Mai I'll definitely keep an eye out for a similar setup.

Found a spot in Chiang Mai called Ristr8to that had solid 200 Mbps when I was there last year. Cost me about the same for a whole afternoon.

@ramirez.vera I gotta push back on this a bit. Those cafe speeds are ALWAYS a gamble and 200 Mbps sounds too good to be true for a coffee shop. Half the time places like that cap you after an hour or throttle once they get busy. Not saying your experience is wrong but I bet it depends on what time you showed up and how many people were there. Crowded afternoons in Chiang Mai turn those numbers into a joke real fast.
