My income doubled in 6 months after I stopped working from my apartment

I was in Medellin for 3 months, grinding away in my Airbnb and barely hitting my old salary. I decided to force myself to a co-working space for a month, paying about $120. The change was crazy. I went from maybe 4 focused hours a day to a solid 7 or 8, just from being around other people working. My project output went up, I landed two better clients, and my last month's check was literally twice what it was back home. Has anyone else seen a huge jump just from changing where they sit down to work?

Totally get that. The apartment is a productivity trap. Paying for a space makes you actually show up and work.

That's a good point about paying for the space. It makes it real. But what about the days you just aren't feeling it? Do you still force yourself to go because of the money, or do you let yourself have an off day at home? I'd worry the guilt of wasting the rent might backfire sometimes.

Yeah, that's so true. I tried working from home for a while and the couch just kept calling my name. @stella22, did you find it hard to make the switch at first, or was it an easy change?
