Ran into my ex's new spouse at the grocery store and saw the difference 2 years makes

I was grabbing milk and bread and there they were, looking stressed and snapping at each other over coupons. Two years ago that used to be us, and now I just felt relief walking away. Anyone else get that weird jolt of gratitude when you see your old marriage mirrored in someone else?

Right? There's something about seeing them stuck in the same old tired patterns that makes you want to send a thank you note to the universe... Watching your old life from the outside is the best reality check you never knew you needed. I got that same jolt when I saw my ex and his new girlfriend arguing over whose turn it was to pay for gas at the pump, just stood there grinning like a fool.

Oh man, I felt that one. Nothing says "bullet dodged" like watching someone fight over a 50 cent coupon with the same person you used to fight about money with. I swear I almost bought them a coffee just to see the look on their faces.
