Swapped my co-parenting app after 8 months of chaos

I used to use OurFamilyWizard and it was $99 a year and felt like I was filling out government forms just to say 'kid has soccer at 5.' Switched to a free Google Calendar shared with my ex and it cuts down 90% of the back and forth. The key was setting up color coded alerts for pickup times and expenses so nobody can claim 'I didn't see it.' Anyone else ditch the pricey apps for something simpler?

Oh man that's exactly what my buddy ran into. He was paying for some fancy coparenting app and his ex still claimed she "never got the notification" so he switched to a shared Walmart list and text alerts and it worked way better.

Hate when they pull that "I never saw it" stuff. Smart move switching to something that's harder to ignore.

Read a study last year that said 60% of coparenting conflicts come from "I didn't see it" excuses. Shared calendars with forced notifications pretty much kill that whole argument. Your setup sounds way more practical than paying for a app that basically does the same thing.
