Rant: Bought a $200 paint sprayer for my kitchen cabinets and I'm split on it
I redid my kitchen last month and decided to spray the cabinet doors instead of brushing. The sprayer itself was about $200, plus another $50 for the right paint and filters. It cut the painting time for the doors down from a whole weekend to maybe six hours total. But the cleanup was a huge pain, I wasted a bunch of paint dialing it in, and my garage is still covered in a fine mist. Did the time saved make up for the mess and cost, or should I have just rolled with a brush and been done with it?

Ngl, the cleanup is always the worst part. Sounds like it was worth it for the time saved though.

Disagree completely. Cleanup is the best part, it's the satisfying finish to a job. Seeing the mess turn back into a clean space is its own reward. It gives you a minute to think about what you just did and feel good about it. Calling it the worst part misses the whole point of getting something done.

Seriously, how bad can cleaning up really be?
