Spent 4 hours trying to get the last piece of baseboard trim in my hallway to sit flush.
Turns out the floor dips almost half an inch in that corner. Had to scribe and cut a custom back bevel. Anyone know a faster fix for an uneven subfloor under trim?

Honestly, is this just how all houses are? Tbh my whole place is like that, nothing is square or level. I spent a whole weekend shimming door casings for the same reason. Feels like you're just fighting the building's natural slump after a few decades.

Nah, my place is still perfectly square after twenty years.

My uncle tried to fix a similar problem by just forcing the trim with longer nails. It looked okay for a month until the drywall cracked all the way up the wall. Sometimes the long way is the only way with old houses, even if it takes a whole afternoon. Makes you respect the guys who built these places without laser levels.
