I thought using a drawing tablet for CAD was just a gimmick

My coworker in Denver got one six months ago and kept saying it was faster for markups. I tried his setup last week and did a full set of shop drawings in about three hours, which usually takes me four. The pen pressure for line weights felt weird at first, but after adjusting the settings once, it just clicked. Has anyone else made the switch from a mouse and seen a real time save?

Yeah, "forever" is right. I got a cheap wired mouse for like fifteen bucks and it changed everything. The trackpad is fine for basic stuff, but for any real work you need those proper clicks and scroll wheel.

Wow, that's a perfect example of how we get stuck in our ways. @oliver_stone15 knows the pain of using the wrong tool for the job. Sometimes you just have to try the new thing to realize what you've been missing out on.
