Can we talk about the pressure gauge on the main pump?
I keep seeing guys on the Ohio River runs ignoring the small jumps on the main pump pressure gauge, thinking it's just a flicker. That's the first sign the impeller is getting chewed up by something in the slurry, like a piece of rebar. I caught mine jumping between 145 and 155 psi for two days before it finally blew a seal and cost us a full shift. Anyone else have a specific psi variance they watch for before they shut it down to check?

Check the suction side screen first, honestly (saves a ton of headache).

Man, that's a brutal way to learn that lesson.

Remember my buddy Jake? He spent a whole weekend tearing his pump apart before he even looked at the screen. Felt so dumb after.
