Dredge logs: not just for the file cabinet
I always saw daily logs as a waste of time. Then a pump issue had us stuck for hours. We checked my notes from the previous shift and spotted a pressure dip I'd written down. That clue led us to a stuck valve before it blew. Now I put real effort into those entries. They're dull, but they prevent bigger problems. Guess even paperwork has its uses.

Well, I guess my boring notes are the YKK zippers of my job. They don't look like much, but they hold everything together when it counts. I'll take dull and reliable any day.

Call them dull but they just saved your gear.

My twelve year old backpack looks boring as hell but it survived three airports last week. The zippers are basic YKK ones that never snag or break. That dull design is why all my stuff stays dry and safe.

Hey, what if being dull is what makes them so reliable? Nobody talks about how boring stuff rarely breaks when you need it most.
