Vent: Bought a cheap corner trowel that cost me a full day's pay
Used it on a big job in Tempe, and the flex was so bad I had to re-mud every single corner. Lost about $300 fixing my own work. Anyone else get burned by a tool that seemed like a good deal?

Cheap tools are the most expensive ones you'll ever buy.

Totally agree with this, and @owens.jenny is so right. Learned the hard way with a cheap orbital sander that died halfway through a table project. Had to buy the good one anyway, plus all the wasted sandpaper. Feels like you save money at first, but it just ends up costing more in time and frustration. Now I just save up for the decent tool from the start.

Used to think a tool was a tool. That corner trowel lesson cost me a whole bathroom. Now I just buy the good stuff first time.
