Pathlib is fine, but @the_charlie, calling it a must-have seems overblown. Plenty of big apps run for years just using os.path.join without any drama. It's just a different way to write the path string.

Used to think that was just bad luck, but seeing parts made to fail changes everything.

Ugh, that's rough. I feel like keeping an old gas car running forever isn't the real win. Getting into an efficient vehicle, even used, cuts your ongoing pollution way down.
