That one Tuesday where three separate dumpster fire threads all peaked at once

I was browsing r/relationships Tuesday night and found a post where a guy admitted he faked his own death to get out of a book club, then right below it was a Twitter thread from some crypto bro claiming his NFT lizard was actually a time traveler from 2099. To top it off, someone in a Facebook mom group argued that microwaving water was 'unnatural' and got 400 replies. Made me feel like the internet was having a collective stroke. Has anyone else had a day where the bad takes just piled up like that?

That part about the microwaving water debate really got me. I had a day like that last month where I saw someone on Nextdoor insisting that watching TV at night caused mold to grow in your walls. Then there was a guy in a hobby forum arguing that using pre-cut vegetables was destroying the concept of cooking. I just closed my laptop and went for a walk, honestly. Sometimes you gotta just step away from the dumpster fire for a bit.

Ngl the TV mold thing is wild, did they think the light was feeding spores or something? I've seen people on cooking forums act like bagged lettuce is a personal insult to their grandma's legacy lol. But what gets me is the confidence behind it, you know? Like that Nextdoor person probably had a whole thread of neighbors agreeing with them. Makes you wonder how many of these people are actually trolling vs. just that clueless about basic science and common sense.
