Just hit 100 NES games in my collection without even trying
I was sorting my shelves last weekend and realized I had 97 NES carts. That number kind of snuck up on me because I don't go out hunting for them. I just pick up cheap lots at garage sales around upstate New York whenever I see them. A few years ago I had maybe 20 games but I'll grab a $5 bundle with a console or something. It's mostly junk like Golf and John Elway's Quarterback but there's some random gems in there. Did any of you hit a surprise milestone in your collection and not realize it until way later?

How long have you been collecting? It's a good feeling when something sneaks up on you like that.

Same here with the camera thing. That's why I keep a simple list on my phone of stuff I've bought, helps prevent those double purchases.

Totally agree with you @corah75. I've been at it for maybe 8 years now and it still catches me off guard sometimes. Last month I was just cleaning out a closet and found a little vintage camera I forgot I even bought. Felt like I found a twenty dollar bill in my winter coat. Those sneaky finds are the best part of the hobby in my experience.
