Warning: That guy at the retro game swap meet might be selling fakes

Tbh I had a long talk with a guy at the Austin Retro Game Expo last weekend who showed me how to spot fake GBA carts. He said over half the Pokemon games he sees online are reproductions. Seriously check the board stamps before you drop cash on eBay.

Actually looked into this myself a few weeks back... found out a lot of those "personal" accounts that post constantly are just reposting stolen content from other people's feeds. The giveaway is when they use the exact same caption and hashtags across multiple profiles. Makes you wonder who's even behind them.

Yeah it's wild. I've noticed the same thing happening with those "local news" pages that pop up in every town - they're all run by the same few companies just copying content. Feels like half the internet is just bots or people running multiple accounts to push some agenda we can't even see.
