PSA: That pill organizer with the flaps was a game changer for mom's meds
My mom was mixing up her morning and evening pills so I got her one of those 28-slot organizers with AM/PM flaps from the drugstore for $12. It took her about a week to get used to it but now she hasn't missed a dose in three months. Anyone else find a cheap organizer that actually works for a parent with memory issues?

Write the day of week on each flap with a Sharpie. Solved it for my dad.

Oh jeez, but @johnson.river has a point - the Sharpie trick only works if the flaps actually stay attached, and those pill organizers are notorious for losing flaps after a week. A better fix is to use a label maker or just write directly on the plastic with a fine-tip marker once, so even if a flap disappears, the day is still staring at you. That way you're not rewritin' the days every Monday when you refill the box.

Remembered buying my dad a simple 7-day box and he started using the afternoon slots for his spare change and the evening slots for breath mints. The flaps might actually prevent him from treating his blood pressure pills like Tic Tacs.
