Appreciation post: Ditching cotton rounds for washable pads changed my whole routine
I used to go through two packs of cotton rounds a week for toner and removing makeup. Switched to reusable bamboo pads about 4 months ago after a client told me she was saving $30 a month. Now I just toss them in a mesh bag and wash them with my towels every few days. They actually feel gentler on my skin and I don't get those little lint bits stuck to my face anymore. Has anyone else made the switch and found a brand that holds up after 50 washes?

Team bamboo pads all the way. I've had the same set from Marley's Monsters for two years and they still look brand new. Way less waste and my skin stopped getting irritated from the bleached cotton.

Just a little thing... bamboo pads are actually made from rayon, not pure bamboo. The process turns the bamboo into a pulp then spins it into fiber. Still way better than disposable cotton though, and the irritation thing is real. Had the same experience with my bamboo set.

Gotta admit I was on team disposable for way too long but @hannah_wells you and felixm29 are making me rethink everything. I always thought bamboo pads were just hype but hearing they last two years and help with skin irritation is huge. My skin gets red and itchy from bleached cotton too so this might actually be the fix I need. The rayon thing is a little confusing but honestly if it works better and creates less waste I'm not gonna overthink it. Might have to check out Marley's Monsters now and give them a shot.
