Guess what, my new rule to always patch test new stuff saved me from a bad reaction

Burned my face off with a new acid toner once because I skipped the patch test. My skin turned red and peeled for a week, looked like a sunburned lizard. Now I test everything behind my ear, even if I'm in a hurry. Your rule is solid, saves a lot of pain and weird looks from people. Still have that bottle as a reminder to not be stupid.

Skipping small steps to save time often causes more problems. I put together a bookshelf without reading the guide, and it fell apart. Now I always follow the steps, like your ear test. These habits prevent bigger messes later.

Notice how we all skip reading manuals or ignore warnings on things. Honestly it's wild how many problems come from just not doing the simple check first.

That "sunburned lizard" visual really drives it home. It's funny how the shortcuts we take to save five minutes always end up costing us way more time fixing the mess. Makes you wonder what other tiny checks we're all still skipping, right?
