Just found out the $80 'professional' pore vacuum I bought online is basically a rebranded $20 unit from a discount site.

I wasted a whole month's supply budget on it before a client mentioned seeing the exact same model on a different website for a quarter of the price.

Did you check the manufacturer's listing on the discount site? Sometimes they sell the same exact tool without the fancy branding. The markup on these beauty gadgets is insane. Makes you wonder how many other "pro" tools are just cheap units in a different box. Really frustrating when you're trying to invest in good equipment.

Actually, that fancy branding often covers better customer service and warranty support. The generic version might break down with no help at all. You're paying for peace of mind, not just a name.
