My dry skin used to feel tight and awful after washing. Adding a tiny bit of jojoba oil to my regular cleanser completely fixed it. My face just feels clean now, not stripped. Why don't they teach this stuff somewhere?

Most advice comes from trial and error, not a classroom. Adding oil makes sense since cleansers can strip natural oils. Your fix is smart but straightforward once you consider it. Brands might not promote mixing because they sell more stuff separately. It's nice when a simple change solves a big problem. Experimenting on your own often beats following generic tips.

Right? They'd rather sell you a whole new "gentle" cleanser than tell you to fix the one you have.
