That viral 'shark in lake' video from last week finally got debunked by a local news station in Arizona

I spent like 20 minutes looking at that shaky footage of a fin in Lake Pleasant, and I was pretty sure it was fake but my cousin swore it was real. Turns out it was just a drone shot of a boat wake edited to look like a shark fin, and the news station even found the original drone operator who posted the clip 3 months ago. Makes me wonder how many of these 'animal out of place' videos are actually just people messing around for clicks. Has anyone else noticed how often these lake monster or shark stories pop up around summer?

But like, do we actually KNOW for sure it was debunked? I mean local news stations get stuff wrong all the time, maybe the original drone guy just got paid off to say it was fake, you know how these things go viral and then suddenly people come out of the woodwork with "proof" that kills the fun. I swear I've seen like three different "debunked" shark videos from different years and then someone finds new footage that makes it look real again, so I'm just saying - maybe keep an open mind.

Take it even further though - what if the whole "drone video" thing was actually a test? Like someone from a government agency or even a movie studio leaked it on purpose to see how fast people would freak out and then had the "debunker" step in to calm things down. Wouldn't be the first time stuff got staged for engagement.

Wow, do you actually think the news station could be in on it too just to generate more views?
