Walked into a Miami tourist trap and spotted a 'genuine' Cuban sandwich shop with a menu full of typos including 'sandwhich' and 'pastrami'

Turns out the place was using a stock photo of a sandwich from a chain in Ohio, and the owner admitted he'd never even been to Cuba. Has anyone else caught a restaurant faking its whole vibe like that?

Wait, did the guy actually admit that to you or did you have to call him out on it first? That's wild he'd just straight up say he's never been to Cuba while charging tourist prices for a sandwich he probably saw on Pinterest. Also curious what kind of "pastrami" they were trying to pass off because that's not even a Cuban thing last I checked. Seems like half these places just throw random words on a menu and hope nobody notices. How did you even figure out the stock photo thing?

Oh man my buddy walked into a place like that and the guy literally pulled a picture off Google Images for their menu.

Jumping off what @daniel_cooper34 said, that Google Image thing is way too common... I swear some of these places just grab the first picture they see and hope nobody's actually eaten a Cuban sandwich before. That pastrami thing though, so random. They probably figured nobody would notice if they called it "Cuban style" or something...
