Warning: I spent $50 on a 'miracle' water filter that was just a sponge in a tube
Saw a video last month claiming this filter could turn any tap water into alkaline, mineral-rich health water in seconds. Bought it, tested it with a basic strip, and the water was exactly the same as before. Has anyone else fallen for a fake product story and actually tested it themselves?

I used to believe those detox foot pads actually pulled out toxins. After seeing them work the same on a glass jar, I realized they just react to moisture. Now I check for real proof before buying anything.

Your fridge test is perfect. It's crazy how people fall for stuff just because it feels scientific. I almost bought those pads too until I saw a video of someone putting them on a piece of fruit. The whole wellness industry banks on us not doing a simple check. Saves a lot of money just being a little bit skeptical.

Ugh, that reminds me of the "magnetic" bracelet phase. My uncle swore his pain went away, so I stuck one to a fridge door for a week. It held up a takeout menu just fine, but I'm pretty sure that was the magnet, not healing energy.
