Serious question, did anyone else think the whole 'Starbucks holiday cup' thing was just a made up fight?
I saw all those headlines last November about people being mad at Starbucks for a plain red cup, and I figured it was just a few loud voices getting amplified. But then my cousin in Omaha sent me a video of a guy yelling at a barista in his local store, and the barista looked genuinely shaken. It made me wonder if maybe the outrage was more real in some places than the internet made it seem. Has anyone else had a moment where they thought a story was fake but then saw something that made them doubt it?

Remember reading about that and thinking it was total media bait. Then I saw a local news clip from a town near me where a church group organized a boycott and actually had people with signs outside a drive-thru. It wasn't just online, it was a real thing for some folks. The internet makes it look huge, but it starts with a few real people getting way too upset about coffee cups. Makes you wonder what else we write off as fake that has some actual, awkward people behind it.

Honestly, seeing that barista get yelled at is just messed up. Tbh it's wild how worked up people get over the dumbest stuff.
