Honestly, my sister-in-law just tried to sell me on those 'magnetic' eyelashes from an Instagram ad
She paid like $60 for them and said they fell off at her kid's soccer game after 20 minutes. Tbh, it's just another overpriced gimmick that preys on people wanting a quick fix. Anyone have a real product for hooded eyes that actually stays put?

My cousin SWEARS by the magnetic liner and lashes from Ardell. She's a nurse with hooded eyes and works 12-hour shifts, and they don't budge. The trick is you have to let the liner get totally tacky before you put the lashes on. It's a learning curve, but once you get it, it's a game changer.

My first try with magnetic liner looked like I'd been in a fight with a spider and lost badly. I definitely did not wait for it to get tacky at all, just slapped the lash on a wet, shiny line. It slid right off my lid and stuck to my cheekbone instead. I admire your cousin's skill because that learning curve is real, and I am clearly still at the bottom of the hill. I might have to give it another shot with more patience this time.

Hold up, let me defend the magnetic lash people for a second. Your sister-in-law might have just gotten a bad brand or maybe she didn't prep her lids right (like, oils break down the magnet hold). That learning curve miasanchez mentioned is no joke, but once you nail the tacky liner step, it's way faster and less messy than glue. For hooded eyes, a good magnetic set can actually be more secure than traditional glue because the whole lash band is held on, not just the ends. It's not a total scam if you find the right system and put in the practice.
