Went to that pop-up kitchen gadget expo last weekend

Stopped by a booth pushing a $40 herb chopper that looked like a tiny lawn mower. The demo guy chopped a whole onion in 3 seconds flat but I grabbed one and the blades were already dull after 2 uses. Is this thing worth the counter space or is it just another gimmick for the drawer of shame?
