Dropped $400 on a Mustad hoof knife and it's the best tool money I've ever spent
My old generic knife was a constant fight, especially on tough quarter cracks. The Mustad just glides through horn like butter and holds an edge way longer. It cut my trim time down by at least 15 minutes per horse, no joke. Anyone else have a single tool that just made everything click?

I read an article about farrier tools that said a sharp, well balanced knife is like an extension of your own hand. Your post about it gliding through horn is the perfect example of that. It's crazy how much less effort a good tool takes, you stop fighting the job and just get into a flow. I bet that 15 minutes you save adds up fast over a whole day.

Glides through horn like butter" makes me think you're secretly trimming giant pencils.
