How many batches did you ruin before you figured that out? I went through the same soggy phase, it's so frustrating. Getting the right gear really does make all the difference.

Oh man, that's the worst. My first few tries were just a mess of burnt edges and raw dough in the middle. I felt like I was just throwing food in the trash. You get your hopes up and then it's just... gone. A dog eating it almost seems like a better ending, doesn't it? Saves you the disappointment of having to look at it.
