Had to choose between engineered click-lock and glue-down for a basement in Denver

Went with glue-down after a buddy who does commercial work warned me about moisture issues with click-lock in basements. It was way more tedious but three months in and no seam peaking or buckling - anyone else regret going click-lock in a below grade space?

Oh man, I did click-lock in my last basement and three months later it looked like a accordion in a heat wave. My wife still brings it up every time we walk down there. Glue-down might be a pain to install but at least you're not watching your floor slowly try to escape the room.

Ha, "watching your floor slowly try to escape the room" is the most perfect way to describe click-lock failure I've ever heard. So my big question is, did you go back and redo it with glue-down after that mess, or did you switch to something totally different like tile or sheet vinyl? I'm asking because I'm weighing my own basement options and trying to figure out if the extra labor on glue-down is actually worth it for the long run. Your wife bringing it up every time just cements that I don't want to make a similar mistake.

YES glue-down is ALWAYS worth it in a basement, trust me on that.
